Status Update: Petience is a Virtue . . .Yes indeed I submitted the "Cheshire" comic following their strict guidelines I am now in the 3 month waiting period (ow indeed) X3 but I'll use my time productively while I wait. I've been working on materiel for my admissions portfolio to calarts, now having a comic submission under my belt perhaps my chances have bettered instead being wait listed like last time. In any case I ain't gonna quit trying to break into this career path, one way or another.
I've done some miscellaneous works while I've been waiting, I've made some small gif animations nothing too impressive. I am working on a cover for the comic itself as well as putting together the next few pages. I may also create a submission using the "Asylum" comic. I wanna start from the ground up, the story itself won't change but the artwork could use a real overhaul.
Secondlife is in a coma while I get the gears turning on my real life. Be sure though if I do get the contract my account and time there will be crippled to never. But that's okay. Less drama for my ears and eyes. A fun place to visit but I sure as hell wouldn't want to live there. Not a good for business or career opportunities. You do see in that particular digital plane that not everyone should have powers or should be left unrestricted.
Why SLG? why not some furry publisher?
Because I don't consider my works or stories to be "furry oriented". I tell a fairytale which the majority involve Animals as characters leads. Back in the day this was just a form of story telling and like my old school soul I want it to remains so. Besides genre wise it's a dark comedy/romance/drama/suspense/fantasy/horror and nothing more. Not steampunk, or whatever, screw ya labels. My target audience is not any fandom but just a reader. (strong language and intense scenes may not be appropriate for the kiddies though). Besides SLG just caters more to my tastes.
